Construction Project Requirements

If you plan to modify the exterior of your home or yard—such as replacing your roof, installing a fence, adding a shed, painting, or making other significant changes—you must submit an Architectural Project Information and Application for approval prior to starting any work. This ensures that your project aligns with the community’s guidelines and receives the necessary Board approval.

Examples of changes that require approval include:

• Repainting or staining your home, trim, or fence (with a new color)
• Adding an extension or structure (e.g., shed, pergola, greenhouse, hobby room, tornado shelter, etc.)
• Installing a fence or major landscaping changes
• Expanding concrete areas or installing solar panels
• Replacing your roof shingles
• Installing a pool

In some cases, you may need to submit additional documentation, such as photos, color samples, or sketches of your project.

Note: Architectural approval is not required for repairs to previously-approved structures.

Important Note

If you proceed with modifications to your property without prior HOA approval, you could face:

• Fines
• Orders to bring the property into compliance with the Covenants, at your own expense
• Legal action, including the potential removal of the structure and restoration of the property to its original state, also at your own cost
